Dr. Berman received his dental degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, and his Certificate in Endodontics from The Albert Einstein Medical Center. He is Clinical Associate Professor of Endodontics at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and a Clinical Instructor and Guest Lecturer at The Albert Einstein Medical Center.
He has lectured internationally in the field of endodontics, and has published in several different national dental journals, including the Journal of the American Dental Association, Journal of Endodontics, Journal of Periodontics, Journal of General Dentistry, and the Journal of the Maryland State Dental Association. He is a past president of the Maryland State Association of Endodontics and is a member of the Journal of Endodontics Scientific Advisory Board.
Dr. Berman is the senior author for the chapter on Diagnosis in the ninth and current tenth edition of Cohen's Pathways of the Pulp, by Hargreaves and Cohen, and is the editor of the web edition of the current tenth edition of this textbook. He is also the senior editor and contributing author of the comprehensive textbook, Dental Traumatology, which has since been translated into Spanish and Japanese.
A board certified endodontist and Fellow of the American College of Dentistry, Dr. Berman has been in full time private practice in Annapolis, Maryland for the past twenty seven years.

Dr. Cohen completed his studies in the Endodontic Postgraduate Program at the University of Pennsylvania, and began his private practice in San Francisco. Dr. Cohen served as the Chairman of the Endodontic Department, University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, and has continued his involvement with the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry as an Adjunct Clinical Professor of Endodontics. Dr. Cohen is also a Professor of Endodontics at the University of California, School of Dentistry in San Francisco and the Director of the Endodontic Post-Graduate program in the Riyadh School of Dentistry and Pharmacology, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Cohen is the Senior Editor of all nine editions of the definitive endodontics textbook, Pathways of the Pulp, a co-editor of the renamed 10th edition Cohen's Pathways of the Pulp and a co-editor of A Clinical Guide to Dental Traumatology.
Dr. Cohen has held leadership positions in many of the major professional and academic organizations in endodontics.He maintains a full-time endodontic practice in San Francisco.
Dr. Cohen is a Board Certified endodontist. Dr. Cohen is a member of the College of Diplomates, dedicated to mentoring new endodontists to attain Diplomate status.

Martin D. Levin, D.M.D.

Dr. Levin is in private practice limited to endodontics in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Dr. Levin graduated with honors from Emory University in 1968, and earned his degree in dental medicine from the University of Pennsylvania in 1972, where he was a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society. After completing his post-doctoral residency in endodontics at the University of Pennsylvania, he became a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and a member of the College of Diplomates. Dr. Levin is currently Co-Chair of the Joint Special Committee of the American Association of Endodontists and the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology on Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT).
He is a recognized expert, speaking both nationally and internationally on diagnosis, three-dimensional computed tomography, digital radiography, treatment planning, clinical techniques and advanced endodontic technologies. At the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine, he received the Alumni Award of Merit, served as Chair of the Board of Overseers from 2004-2008, is an ex officio member of the board, and is currently Chair of the Dean's Council.
Dr. Levin is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Endodontics at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine, Adjunct Associate Professor, Department of Endodontics, Nova Southeastern University, College of Dental Medicine. At the University of Maryland, College of Dental Medicine, he is Clinical Associate Professor in the Division of Endodontics. He is a contributor to the 8th, 9th and 10th Editions of Pathways of the Pulp and the 6th Edition of Ingle's Endodontics, as well as author of numerous peer-reviewed articles. He serves as Director of EndoNet Consulting, LLC.
Dr. Levin is recognized as a Distinguished Practitioner in the National Academies of Practice in Dentistry, and serves on the Continuing Education Committee of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology.

Zvi Metzger, D.M.D.

Professor Zvi Metzger graduated from the Hebrew University, School of Dental Medicine, in Jerusalem in 1970. Since 1973, he has been on the faculty at the Tel Aviv University, School of Dental Medicine, where he served as Dean from 1987-1991. Professor Metzger is a specialist in endodontics and was the Chairman of the National Board of Endodontics in Israel. He is an Associate Professor in Oral Biology and Endodontology at Tel Aviv University.
Professor Metzger was a Visiting Fellow at the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research, NIH, Maryland (1978-1981), and a Visiting Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (1995-1996). He currently serves as Chairman of the Department of Endodontology and Director of Research Laboratories at the Tel Aviv University, School of Dental Medicine. He maintains a private practice limited to endodontics in Tel Aviv.
Professor Metzger has published and lectured extensively in the fields of Oral Biology and Endodontics. He served on the Editorial Board of Endodontics and Dental Traumatology and of Endodontic Practice Today. Professor Metzger currently serves on the Scientific Advisory Panel of Journal of Endodontics, as a referee for International Endodontic Journal and for Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, Oral Radiology and Endodontology.
He was the President of the Israeli Division of the International Association for Dental Research (1987), Chairman of the Israeli Endodontic Society (2000-2002) and is a recipient of the Honorary Achievement Award of the Israel Dental Association (2003) for his contributions in dental research and education.
